The Revelations of Mother Speranza About the Final Moment of the Soul
There is an instant that no one can escape. It comes for everyone, sooner or later. It is the moment when the body stops breathing and the soul leaves the earth.
In that mysterious instant, said Mother Speranza of Jesus, something happens that surpasses every human imagination.Jesus does not appear as a severe judge. He does not bring accusations or condemnations. He does not list sins or failures.Instead, He draws near to the soul with infinite tenderness, His gaze filled with wounded love, and He asks a question.
A single question that decides everything.A question so simple that even a child could understand it:
“Do you still want Me?”
The Message of Mother Speranza and the Merciful Love of God
Mother Speranza, born in Spain in 1893, lived a life marked by deep faith and suffering. Her mission was clear: to make the world know the Merciful Love of Jesus.
In 1930, she began receiving interior locutions from Christ. The words she heard would change her forever:
“My daughter, I want everyone to know that I am Love, not justice.I did not come to condemn, but to save.”
Then Jesus added a truth that shook her soul:
“No one goes to hell for having sinned too much, but for refusing My love until the last breath.”
Stunned, Mother Speranza asked:“Even the most distant ones, Lord? Even those who cursed You to the end?”
And Jesus answered:
“Yes, even them.I seek them until the very last moment. And when the soul leaves the body, I draw near and ask one question:‘Do you still want Me?’”
The Question That Decides Eternity
He does not ask, “Why did you sin?”He does not say, “Have you deserved Heaven?”He does not ask, “How many times have you failed?”
He simply asks: “Do you still want Me?”
According to Mother Speranza, this single question contains the whole mystery of Divine Mercy. If the soul, even after a lifetime of sin, whispers “yes” — even faintly — Jesus saves it.
“When the soul says yes, even weakly,” Jesus told her,“My Heart embraces it, and I take it with Me to My home.”
But that moment is not easy.Mother Speranza revealed that the devil fights desperately at that final instant. He shows the soul its sins, shame, and fear, trying to convince it that it cannot be loved anymore.
And Jesus explained:
“Satan works to make the soul despair,to make it believe that I no longer want it.But I am beside it, even if it cannot see Me.I only ask: ‘Do you still want Me?’”

The Final Instant: Free Will Before Eternity
Until the last breath, human free will remains intact.Even when the body fails and the mind grows silent, the soul can still choose. It can say “yes” or “no.”It can accept love or reject it forever.
At that moment, time ends and eternity begins.
Mother Speranza often reminded her followers:
“We must never judge anyone, not even those who seem lost in sin.We cannot know what happens between Jesus and that soul in its final instant. How many times a hidden ‘yes,’ a tear, or a single act of love has opened Heaven for someone who seemed lost.”
Jesus Himself told her:
“Many souls are saved in the last moment, through a prayer, an offering, or a tear shed by someone who loves them.”
That is why Mother Speranza constantly urged people to pray for the dying. In the moment of ultimate struggle, even a single prayer can be the hand that helps a soul say “yes.”
Purgatory and Heaven in the Visions of Mother Speranza
Mother Speranza also saw Purgatory, not as a place of terror, but as a time of purification in love.
“The souls in Purgatory suffer, but they love. They know they are saved, and their only pain is not yet seeing God.”
Jesus said to her:
“Every soul that passes through Purgatory is a soul saved by My Heart.I visit them, I console them, and I wait until their purification is complete to embrace them forever.”
He also made a beautiful promise:
“When one of these souls enters Heaven, all of Heaven rejoices, and My Cross shines with new light.”
Mother Speranza described Heaven in simple yet luminous words:
“It is an ocean of peace, light, and song. There, everything is love. The soul remembers no evil — only goodness and gratitude for the mercy received.”
Jesus showed her that the saints in Heaven are not only the spotless ones, but also those who were greatly forgiven:
“In Heaven there are souls who were weak and sinful in life, but who trusted in Me.Now they are stars of My love.”
Hell: The Choice Not to Be Loved
Mother Speranza did not deny the existence of hell, but she explained it differently than we often hear.It is not a punishment inflicted by God,but the free choice of those who reject His love, even at the final instant.
“Hell exists, yes,but it is not for those who sin out of weakness —it is for those who stubbornly reject love until the end.”
Jesus showed her that the gates of hell are not locked by God, but by those inside.
“They close themselves to the light.I remain outside, knocking in vain, because they do not want to open to Me.”
And Mother Speranza added with sorrow:
“God sends no one to hell.Souls go there because they refuse to be loved. They choose eternal loneliness.”
A Vision: The Power of a Prayer
One day, while praying, Mother Speranza saw a great light.Within that light was the soul of a man who was dying on earth.Jesus said to her:
“Look, My daughter. This man lived far from Me, but his mother prays for him.Now I call him.I ask him: ‘Do you still want Me?’”
Mother Speranza saw the man’s soul — a small trembling flame — bow its head and whisper a silent “yes.”At that moment, the light exploded like a sunrise, and Jesus took the soul into His arms.
“See, My daughter,” said the Lord, “this is what I do for every human being.”
From then on, she repeated:the greatest enemy of salvation is not sin, but despair.
“The devil fears not the sins of men, but their despair, because despair separates them from mercy.”
Jesus Is Not a Judge Who Condemns, but a Father Who Waits
The message of Mother Speranza is clear and timeless:Jesus is not a judge who condemns, but a Father who waits.
“Even if you had committed every sin in the world, never doubt — He still loves you.”
At the hour of death, there will be no excuses, no explanations, no more time. There will only be the truth of our heart and that voice asking:
“Do you still want Me?”
And if within us remains even a spark of love,Jesus will see it — and that single spark will be enough to ignite eternity.
Living Each Day Ready to Say “Yes”
Mother Speranza prayed daily for the dying, saying there is no more important moment than that final encounter:
“Every Hail Mary said for a dying personis like a hand helping them to say yes.”
She would remind the faithful:
“When a person dies, do not think it is the end.It is only the beginning of the great encounter with Love.”
When asked if she feared death, she always smiled:
“No, because I know that Jesus will ask me the same question He asks everyone:‘Do you still want Me?’And I will answer: ‘Yes, Lord, I want You with all my heart.’”
She would then add:
“Those who live in love need not fear death, for death will only be a stronger embrace.”
A Message for Our Time
In a world that often speaks of judgment and fear,Mother Speranza reminds us that God is a Father who fights for every soul until the very last instant.
Her words are not theories — they are a window into eternity. They tell us that love is greater than sin, mercy is stronger than despair, and that life does not end with death, but truly begins when the soul responds to that voice calling from beyond:
“Do you still want Me?”
If your heart answers “yes,” even with a tear, you will discover that salvation is not a prize — it is an embrace.
Because Love never dies, and even in the darkest hour,God continues to ask each of us: “Do you still want Me?”
